4 styles of hardwood floorings. Create a new home aesthetic!

Warm-to-the-touch and aesthetically appealing hardwood floorings contrast with cold and uncompromising stone materials. Wood has become a major modern flooring option due to its solidity and affinity. Corrugated hardwood floorings create a rich texture without the cold feel of other materials. The longevity of hardwood floorings is affected by its kind, material, plywood, moisture resistance, and other features. Since hardwood floorings occupy a large area of indoor spaces, it is the decisive key to the overall visual experience. Therefore, choosing the type and material of hardwood floorings is the definitive factor of shaping the interior style. Among them, color matching in space design is a form of decorative expertise. Even if the interior comes with limited space and inadequate lighting, the texture and color selection of hardwood floorings complemented by interior décor could become the solution to create a comfortable and warm wooden space. This article will show you how to create four different interior styles with hardwood floorings.

1. Hardwood floorings bring light into the house

The color temperature of the on-site light source is the key aspect that impacts the look of the room when choosing the color of hardwood floorings. If the lighting in the room is inadequate, hardwood floorings with a darker color scheme should be avoided to prevent the misperception of a condensed and narrow feel. To create a sense of spaciousness and brightness from the ground, hardwood floorings made by white oak or wood dyed with light colors are recommended. Under the constraints of restricted interior illumination, doT and associates chose a light-colored wood flooring that matches the general color scheme. With a combination of white colors and sections of natural wood tones, the interior lighting became as soft and natural as the illumination of natural light. It not only alleviated the problem of insufficient lighting in the hallway, but also added a sense of freshness and soothing feel.

2. The magic of the space contouring with the light

The perception of space may be influenced by color. The theory of “wearing black clothes to make you look thinner” in apparel fashion has a similar explanation in space. Warm tones that are bright and light creates an expanded perception. Cool and dark tones, on the other hand, have a compressive look. In compact rooms, bright and light-colored wood floorings are recommended. The densely colored wood flooring can bring out a sense of serenity and stability in a spacious place. Perfectionism Interior Decoration Design Engineering design team installed wooden floors with a saturated tone as the foundation for the spacious bedroom beneath the light-colored walls, then used stone materials with a similar color scheme to correspond the large space, which accurately balanced the visual weight, while creating a grand scheme without being overly vague. Mole Lin Interior Design uses the original wood color to introduce warmth into the small space, which creates a refreshing atmosphere that brings a relaxing and pleasing feel.

3. Analyzing color systems to create a variety of interior styles.

When the living room is well-lit and at the right size, the choice of hardwood floorings will be a compromise between style and personal taste. In apparel fashion, wearing a monochrome black or white outfit is known as playing safe, but in interior design aesthetics, such monotone collocation may make the space dreary. Tsungi Design uses a deep-textured maple flooring in the living area, which comes in a dark brown primary tone. The light-colored floor has a distinct wood grain layer that allows the brown tone to seep down to the ground. The color scheme infiltrates the room discreetly, allowing the entire home to display a consistent main tone, successfully expressing the Zen style’s restraint and lightness.

4. Make accessories the focal point and use elements to establish visual harmony.

When accessories have predominated the styling, you may select hardwood floorings with similar visual elements or traits to complete the overall design. For example, in this American style country house in Neihu, the flowers, brick walls, and cupboards, have displayed a distinct stylistic outline. Cleardesign Interiors chose a reddish maple flooring. With the complementation of warm light, the interior resembles the feel of a country cottage in Tennessee. The addition of various diverse accessories enhances the aesthetics and intensifies the style. Tzen Yin Design boldly chose a golden-yellow wooden floor to complement the crystal chandeliers and metallic elements while conforming the luxurious style. And cleverly reconciled the tone with a gray marble table and a white chair set, demonstrating an unrestricted spacious visual from top to bottom. The furnishing blends with the accessories in harmony. While keeping the charm of wooden spaces, the space flawlessly displays luxury and grace.
